Styling what mods should i do to my car?

Used to look like this....bad angle tho....

I have already seen your car with the VW badge on it, but i love it even more it warrants another mention! Lovin' the Abarth exhaust, i'd concider getting one myself seeing this. Doesnt appear to sit to 'low' IMO, and if it can be housed an inch or so further back BONUS!

Sorry to hijack the thread, but just one question. Is the rear FIAT badge a pain to remove, i know you have to take the boot back off. Does it leave a hole, thinking of placing a sticker such as the JDM angry pig one in the recess.

You don't have to take the inside panel off. There's a guide for this-
https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto-guides/285556-how-remove-rear-badge.html

Cars changed a bit since then. Have a sporting backbox on it now. Think I should update my motor thread soon. Once the boot builds finished at least....

Back to the Glue situation, whenever I wrap anything, bass boxes, boot builds etc I use a glue at work. Comes in a large canister with a hose and nozzle etc, meant for bonding aluminum sheeting to wood or insulation boards. Works a treat. I'll find out what it is tomorrow if I remember.

And the badge. I literally just yanked mine off, as I weren't too fussed if it broke, left two holes in the recess where the locating pins were.

Thank you, that'd be good. I did manage to find some glue in my dads desk, used it and it helped with the corners, but the glue is pretty crap. Would rather use something else.

Want to do the other piece of the dash but I can't unplug the connector on the back of the headunit to do so! I was trying to take it out for 15 minutes and got no where! Is there a nack to getting it off? Also, you have to take off the heater section front panel, but when I undo the clips at the top, it seems to still be held on at the bottom so won't come off?

Stereo, yeah is a pain. Wouldn't say there's a nack. I used a small flat head screwdriver to poke in the two clips whilst pulling on that side of the connector block then once they're clear of their holders used the screwdriver to push the other side up and out.

Work one side then the other to slowly get it up to a point where it'll just slide off...

Will it go back on okay? And I didn't realise you had to take the vents at top off too. I've just been following the guide on here. thanks Ryan! (y)

Ahh okay, I tried a screwdriver but didn't wanna be too aggressive. I'll give it another go, thank you! :)

Applying it was much easier than vinyl, but because it is much thicker and not sticky backed, it was much harder to stay tucked round.

I love it so much! I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
One bad thing though, because of the thickness of the material, putting the heater control panel back on was a pain, it wouldn't go all the way in because it was too tight (excuse the euphemism ;) ) and that meant the rear window heater button and recirculating air button don't push out properly. They still work okay but obviously it doesn't look flush. When I can be bothered I will either trim some more out from the inside to make it fit better, or stick some bits on the back of the buttons to extend it. Anyway, sorry about the paragraph, hope you like it! :D Welcome to peoples opinions

Wow, nice job.
unsure on whether I like it like that or not tbh.
Looks perfect, just a matter of taste. Maybe if you lost the carbon fibred strips...made them leather too maybe...

Thanks!
Yeah I suppose you're right, each to their own. I think it's a vast improvement from before though; hated that horrible grey.
Hmm yeah I was thinking that... it's all too black now isn't it. I think if they were leather too it'd overdo it though. Maybe them wrapped in blue vinyl? To match the badge and lights?

Well my taste is never the same as anyone's. Haha
Definitely a vast improvement. Been looking at carbon fibring mine but I'm not that brave.

Blue could work... Light or dark....?
Liking the car though, nice work :)

Looks really good mate, much neater than your last attempt! Defiantly agree that it's too dark and needs a bit of colour somewhere. Think blue could work if it was quite a dark shade.

Haha. I understand what you mean. I wasn't sure whether I was going to do it because pulling it off means breaking it and I didn't want it to not go back on again, but it goes back on fine.
I'm not sure, I want some colour somewhere but because the actual colour of the car is grey, I don't have a colour to match it to. Say if it was orange :p probably a royal blue. What do you think? http://www.piggybedspreads.com/ebay/images/RoyalBlue1.jpg
Thank you :) I appreciate it.

Thank you! Yeah that was my learning curve stage, the first bit haha. What do you think of royal blue? Not too bright but would quite match the other blues

Not sure a dark colour would make much impact.... Unless your going for subtle.

Thinking maybe white?, to match the punto logo on the dash. Maybe spray the Speedo surround too....

Suppose not. The punto logo on the dash is actually silver! Well, that brushed metal look! Might just take the carbon fibre off and leave them the same colour as that.
I'd like to do the speedo surround, but I have no idea what colour to do. I don't want it to stand out but I don't want it all to be black.
But anyway, WINDOWS ARE TINTED!

Decided on 20%. It's dark enough so you can't see directly in, unless looking at the right angle/in the right light, but it's not too dark that it makes it look like dusk in the back window all the time :p
No air bubbles or anything, really pleased :D did have some trouble with the f***ing matrix dots though!
