Hi all, Can any one tell me what this valve is and the purpose of it please.....
I ask this because there is 1 wire which is in mid air with nowhere for it to attatch, surely it must be attatched to something , i cannot find a location for it........ MMMmmmm im baffled!!

oh yeah its located near the battery rear where the suspention turret is...
i think its a air valve of some description but ????

if the tube goes to the carb or inlet manifold and has a connector on it for a wire ,it could be for your power/economy lights.if you dont have these, please trace the pipe so we may get it right next time or description of pipes/wires going to or coming from it.also engine size and spec will help.......................................

ok, the car is a 1.4 straight carb model, 1990 spec,
there are 3 wires one black one green and the one which is not attatched is brown with a white stripe, also the tube from the valve goes to a t-piece which connects to the inlet/servo pipe....hope this helps,
oh the eco gauge works fine...

if it works i wouldn't worry. that's how i'm thinking with mine at the moment. my car has loads of plugs not connected withe anything. i'll have a look for the said piece tomorrow though if it's any help. can't imagine a 92 differering greatly from a 90 spec one. although they did update the engine sometime which increased power.

there's quite a few under my bonnet. theres one which seems charred. ( quite a few things do so i'm wondering as to whether there has been a fire under the bonnet) which is nearish the battery. also there's one next to the distributor/lights but that's the ones off the top of my head. lol

Mmmmmmmm me thinks you are playing with me..... come on then what have we got for possibilities then??? PLEASE :worship:

i'm assuming it's an electric wire? in a non DGT the wiring diagrams are easy enough to follow. the DGT ones are pretty 'interesting'. i have a Brown and white wire in the LT circuit but obviously it wouldn't be that one.
