Based on your advice I cleaned the motor for the wiper assembly and the result could not be better. No more irregular movement in the wipers when set to intermittent wiping. In the picture below you see the grease all over the bearings and most importantly the electrodes. Cleaning was all that it needed

I have had to do that a couple of times on my Tipo... strange problem.

The Tipo multi-speed intermittent wipe feature is excellent !
