what are they (interior details)?

I'm new here and did not find anything related.
Im looking to buy Multipla '99-04.
In some models I see some box like feature (1) and some remote like (2).
What are they ? http://goo.gl/wZgJ9
Are they related to Navigation?

Could not find anything about these in manuals.

thank you

I have owned a few multipla's and have never seen that before they don't have that in uk might be something to do with the car being left hand drive what do u suspect it is as u can't make out what is on the seat

The screen on the centre right of the dashboard looks original equipment, I'd go for factory fitted remote control SatNav, the recess on the dash behind the steering wheel could be the CD/DVD reader?

Hm. That's possible, that these are original navi system elements. I saw such equipment in 2 car ads. Both of them have navi, 1 of them webasto. I thought it could be somehow related with webasto remote. But this car (in photo) dont have one...

Please don't spam your threads just so you can get your post count up - then delete all the spam posts so that you can post a link.

It is a blatant disregard to the rules - and yes, we do spot it... :)

I am truly sorry, but I got reserved a car with such equipment (not from that photo but equal) and I need to get answer as fast as possible. And until 5 posts its impossible to post URL.
My apologies and many thanks for understanding.

Top anorak marks for that one Urchin (y) I never knew they even existed! It's not shown in the 2004 brochure I've got. I've just found a piccy of it in the hardback brochure/book that came out when the Multi was released, but hadn't noticed it before.

Thank you urchin. It realy seems (http://goo.gl/PbRBU) to be Magneti Marelli satnav. Looks like it should work with Navteq maps. I doubt such a rarity is a big plus for a car but I hope it is in working condition :)

Honesty is the best policy u telling me u have seen this on a British multipla ?

Pete123,
No, not on a British multipla.
One was on Italian, another on German multipla.

Ow ok I see it was a left hander but thought it could of been Irish or something not to worry
