Craig, Sorry to hear the Fizz is moving on so soon. Selling a Panda coz you need a more economical car! just shows how good these modern diesels are. I'm sure the next owner will be very happy with it, be sure to get them on here, if they're not already.
.David, Good luck with your Italia 90 sale too, you've done a lovely job on it! I couldn't work out why it looked so much nicer than others I'd seen, so put it down to it's condition. After having read your Ebay ad I realise that the black bumpers are helping too, hadn't noticed they were fitted in the pic on here.

yeah we will still have the CLX on the road as dad is using it often.
Will be sad to see it go, such a fun car. I think it'll be hard to find the right buyer... don't want some fool buying it for a stupid car wrecking rally. or a new driver tbh as i doesn't deserve to be wrecked. my heart wants to keep it, but i know it has to go.
i've already had a telling off so i cant "sell it" in these threads but there is a classified add in place. (probably get told off for saying that)

Might be needing to concider off loading another of ours, but each have their own merits
I think we'll see summer through, clear out another garage and just put them into storage. The advantage of a Dry garage is that in theiory a Panda can be put in there and forgotten for a year or two.
Just finished waxing and shining up Poppi ready for tomorrow's Bromley Pageant Classic Car show. I don't think there has been a Panda there in the last 3 years we've been so should be fun.

Dad's friends recomeneded that we went, you might have 2 rarther large brothers brousing about Poppi if they go, They've vauxhall people really, but we've sort of turned them slightly to Panda's

spent all of yesterday cleaning her ready for sale. got a machine polisher and used it with some t-cut, its amazing! a real red now, feels really weird compared to the punto, so small and go kart like! pics are in my gallery.
I've got a Punto too and I'd have to take issue with the "go kart like" comment about Pandas and say that in reality Pandas are proper cars and Puntos are 'boat like'!!!

busy busy day
brakes were getting really rather feeble and MOT's up next week so attacked some of the remaining jobs.
so this morning:
worn out discs. worn out pads (the ones on the nearside came out in bits) knackered wheelbearing this side and a tired bottom balljoint.
tonight:
new discs, new pads, new bottom suspension arm (had to grind the old one out, the nut was completely siezed, rusted into the metal sleeve in the bush) cleaned and painted hub carrier with better ball joint from the garage stock. Decent wheelbearing from supplies too, new nuts and bolts for hub carrier and arm, and painted caliper green.
WHAT a difference! I've suddenly got a brake pedal like I assumed Pandas never had. And my persistent wheel wobble's gone. Must've been the bearing.
On the downside I only had time to do that lot on one side after all the hassle getting the arm off so the disc/pads are on the other side but the rest is still to do. Bearing's OK that side though so not so urgent. Checked and the arm is just as seized on that side too

Then I rented testplates for yesterday and today so I can actually drive it for a few days It is looking rather good now Also met up with a fellow Fiat owner who drives a 1980 Spider and had a chat and a couple of coffe cups It is not everyday you see two eightees Fiats parked next to each other here in Norway

Did not bring my camera and forgot that my Iphone has got a camera Today I have had a day off work and since my test plates dont expire before midnight tonight, I have been just cruising around in my Panda
And I have bought a new airfilter for it today, since the last owner not had changed it when they had a small service on it before I bought it( oil, oilfilter and new drain/sump plug). Also been to the the local Fiat dealership to ask for price on a new passenger door Theire computers where down, but they will call me when they find out the price....Not sure I want to know the price toughQuestion: Is there supposed to be a filter in the air intake box under the scoop? It is not a filter there on mine but I think I have seen pictures of Pandas with a airfilter looking filter there?
There is a plastic grille fitted to some but not all Pandas have them, my 750L (86) doesn't have one. It is a grille though, not a filter, although it will filter out dead leaves and other large items.

all loose under the hood or should it be tightend down with some kind of screw / wingbolt or something. Offcourse when hood is closed it wont go anywhere but when hood is open it is loose. Thinking that in an crash there will be a lot of energy to the front and the sparewheel might become a flying missile.......If hood opens in the crash

Your wont have a grille...and you can't retro fit one...

Yep, the spare wheel just sits there. I think the 4x4's have a fixing but not sure.
