General What have you done for her/him recently?

Spent the last 2 days clearing, sorting and tidying the garage, dumped a trailer full of stuff down the tip, god knows where it all came from, and now Giovani is warm, dry and snow free in his new space..
Now got somewhere out of the cold ready for working on his next job when it comes along. Looking forward to tomo morning, will be able to start him up and just drive off to work without the 20min de-ice, scrape down and thawing out the door lock.. yipp ee :)

Wow, what luxury! (y) The only Panda I've got in a garage is my spares car! That can't be right .

I wish:p Yesterday I bent my key trying to get my door to unlock it was that frozen! Filled the lock with de-icer but it didnt work, ended up using hot water. This was during the day aswell, I drove to work in the morning, thought I wasn't going to be able to get home for a minute or two.

Always worth carrying a lighter in your pocket to warm up the key in events like this :p (y)

Yes we seem to get at all wrong with garages, usually there full of junk, an old bike or two and a lawnmower plus variuos other unwanted items all worth about £50 and our cars are left out on the drive in all weathers :D

And as for frozen locks.. i queued for petrol and when i finally got to the pump i couldnt unlock my fuel cap, i gave up after 5 mins of heavy breathing onto it and getting looks from the growing line of cars behind me, was on fumes so its good these Pandas do lots of miles to the cup full !!

Good luck to you all in the morning, its a bit milder here and hope it is where you are too..

I've seen a fair bit of that at work over the last few weeks :p

I finally managed to do the clean-up after the lots of salt on the roads.

That's a lifetime ambition of mine too...went in there for a hammer today, OMG it needs sorting bad!!!

Ha ha, I went in this mornin' for the newer metric feeler gauges - I know they are in a nice little blue wallet... (and it's not long since I did the plugs on the 1000S) - eventually found some old rusty thou inch ones that I could just about read! now 4pm and fitted 'em by headtorch  ... NGK plugs were about right anyway!!! Be very handy if they actually put the mm measurement they come set at on 'em!! instead of just '> mm <' !
But that's new plugs and fuel filter fitted now... oh, and adj. that problematic fast idle while I'd got spare wheel out of way - Bo Selecta!

that's like mine. getting sorted first thing...in spring!
unfortunately even sorted it's still too short to actually fit the Panda in:mad:

Good luck with your clear out !! My garage is a 'double tandem' so its long but a bit thin.. Its the first time a car has been in there for 15 years. Its now got the work bench/tools, drumkit, 2 mountain bikes, powerkite buggy & kit plus other assorted junk all down one end and a nice clear space the other end for the Panda. The wife's 2 year old Freelander stays on the drive, think ive got it all sorted now. It was nice to just drive off this morning with a clean snow free car. :)

as soon as the snow is all over im gonna be washing the undernieth before it gives the already slightly rusty bits some taste for more metal.

Under, Wheel arches, behind lip, axles etc etcetc :D Cannot be too careful.

We dug the CLX out of about a foot of snow yesterday, but didnt unfreeze it. same to dads C5 aswell.

Guess which one failed to start this morning? oh yes, 3 year old and useless! ear to ear grin from me

Same thing happened today Fabia versus Panda

Needless to say, I've had to spend £50 on a new battery and fit a new one in the freezing cold...brrrrrrrrrrr!
