Well I was supposed to be washing and waxing the Blue CLX ready for the cruise tomorrow, but this morning I met up with Luke p for the first time. We went for a mini cruise of our own to the pub for a shandy and generally talk about Pandas.

Then this afternoon I went to Congresbury, near Weston super Mare to pick up my new Fiat Panda (new to me that is).

I know I might have mentioned somewhere that I have no more funds or space for any more Pandas but this one came up on Ebay last week, taxed till the end of the year, no mot, starting price £20. So, I thought, the tax will allow me to park it on the street for now and I can just about manage £25. Well nobody else bid, so I got it for 20 :D.

Too busy to check it over tomorrow of course, but it drove home with no problems, so as long as the sill is the only rust issue ( this was mentioned in the listing) I think it will be saveable. No pictures at the moment, not even from the ebay listing, but shall post some asap (It's not Pretty) :yuck:.

Managed to have a catastrophic CV joint failure on the Red Selecta this morning. Knew it was on the way out, but off all the places to go, went right outside our mechanics place as Stilo was in for a service this morning (and thats an expensive story of its own (n)) :p

I think the joint has been going for a while, but the Panda meets off roading event didn't help  So £50 fitted it'll be, which isn't to bad.

Anyone wanna see some pic's of a fooked CV joint?

So dad's back to his white Selecta until we get the Red one back on Wednesday. So I'm glad the snow is going in a way :p

Jon.

i know its cold outside but i managed to sort out the rear lights.
i went to Cambridge to the in-laws and when i left about 8 oclock the nearside light cluster wasnt working. so when i got up this morning i had the cluster out and found it was a simple fix, just had to put the wires back on.
is this a problem for old pandas? or just my bad luck :)

i have no problems with my car in the current temps. Starts first time and no problem with earthing or anything electrical. Of course-theres not much snow but it is just cold here.

My brother is constantly trying to start his two-stroke bike  Hahahaha :)

Wow! I've never seen one that bad. You do wheelspins away from your house every day then?

We've only had the panda 2weeks and done 1023 miles in it! Lol

I think it was on its way out any way as we got intermitant steering shake, and since the panda meet the clicking when turning, but the one on the Sisley clicked for months before being changed with no problems. It must have been a faulty unit. Lol

Made the most of yesterdays & this mornings slightly better weather and fitted his new brake master cyl, many thanks to Dave for putting me onto the LHD master cyls for sale on ebay, bargain and no different to the RHD unit ??
While the wheels were off i did some wax oiling and greased a few bits, checked disc pads & shoes and a general underside check. Only had one very tight bleed nipple, its rather fooked now so need to replace that at some point. Job was done without too much hassle, had to bleed the system a couple of times but no real problems. :)

Had to call the AA out yesterday as think the whole Panda cruze finally took its toll on Poppi and she had a fit and would not run without the aid of the choke.

So the nice guy gave poppi the once over and cleaned her jets as well as done her points and now she is running as sweet as a nut again. She has a lot more pull now actually.

The guy did ask how comes we had mud splattered in the engine bay. (just played dumb) :D

Oh and we finally got the 9 stones out the back box too after her little beach adventure.
