Had all my wheels off yesterday for a pre-mot inspection. After some cleaning, greasing and some copper slip the car looks quite looked after.

Had a good look under the car too, except for the exhaust looking a little worn (but all ok as far as I can see) - I was amazed how seriously FIAT took rust proofing on the late Panda. There is a protective coating all over the underside and as far as I can see this all looks good to me. (y)

Need at least 2 new tyres for MOT and then it's in the lap of the gods.:worship:

Welding? How did you find it? Hard to do? Did you use a blowlamp? Got any pics?
cheers

Sorry on my slow answer,no pics:bang: but I can give you link to the best welding heat-gun(leister),I am using metabo heat-gun with digital temp regulation.

P.S on the inside of every plastic you have what type of plastic it is (PP,PA,PC,ABS,AES etc) and you must weld it with same type of plastic.

What's this? A new Panda, Craig? Do tell!

No not a new panda sadly, its a Tempra estate 1.9TD

Duff turbo affecting emissions, brake pipe(i split it yesterday and the fluid pissed all over the drive much to my annoyance, It was a failure on MOT though so needed changing) and other little bits and pieces

I'd so much rather have a duff panda. there so simple and familiar. :(

Good luck with it Craig. I quite fancy a Bravo / Brava as a 3rd car but where does it end? I also want another half dozen Pandas and a nice Marbella but hey ho. Just need to win the lottery and I will be well set up. Hey, I could buy Juppy then!:D

Do you use a smaller 'nozzle' to get a smaller spread of heat? It all looks interesting! (y)

Yesterday we got confirmation from Practical Classics mag that Poppi will be featured in the readers car collection along with Courgie our Chevette sometime soon

Watch this space (y):)

Great stuff! I was only reading the new edition this morning and admiring the reader's cars section. (Sounds faintly smutty that:))

In the Rust in Peace section there is a Chevette too!

Yeah I see that the green one. Would be good maybe get a bit of a group panda pic all together and do a joint entry.

Also they are going to put the Fiat forum in the club page at the back too as well as the Chevette forum we are members of.
