Think that selenia is semi-synthetic. As far as I know in my 20vt manual it recomends semi-synthetic. Any of the oil brands will do the job I reckon.

anything will do the job, 10w 40 semi synthetic.

iv got casrol magnatec in mine, but iv used vilvorine on all my mates that iv serviced. its a good oil.

Always used the Selenia in my Bravs from day one and making sure my mum and dad use it in their Brav and Punt

It's what the manual recommends. It's what the engine is tested with.

There are probably others out there that will do a better job but I ALWAYS used what my little Fiat manual told me to. Never had any probs with my oil.

Yep, always been Selenia in Shabash! and she's never missed a beat.

OI! Road safety nutters!! George Orwell ment '1984' to be a warning, NOT a template!

yea, ozric is right, Fiat recommend selena semi-synthetic, as , well, its the best for fiat engines. who are you to argue there?!

when I was a fiat owner, I too used selena semi synthetic and I too had 'best results'.

why compromise on quality over price?

Well amungst my many other qualifications and training... im Castrol oil trained and I know a bit about different oils.

The more processed the oil is, the cleaner it becomes.

But then there is the additives and the various viscosities*

The outcome tho was... if you change your oil regually then any semi-synthetic will be fine - Halfords own is not bad oil!!!

This was the main reason why I used Agry 3 - it's a semi synthetic oil for diesel engines & my bravo's oil was chenged every 3-4month so I didn't fancy splashing out £10 a month on oil.... BUT NOW I use what the car says to use as others have said before, thats wot it was tested with and reccommend.
