What else can I do to my MK1? (With PICS)

So I got my car around 3 weeks ago now, done some ever so small mods to it:
FIAT mud flaps
Induction kit and blue piping around cables
Just bought boss kit for sport steering wheel (should be arriving soon)
New gear knob
CD/Ipod player
Painted dashboard nice silver colour
De-badged rear and front
Alloys re-furbished and painted white
Red calipers
Tinted rear lights and repeaters
De-tangoed front indicaters and now nice and clear :D
All in all not bad to say i'm new to cars and only 16 but what other small mods can I do to it? Some thing that won't made my insurance fly, literally.

I love the white allows m8, they look sound
Tint the windows pal! It's really not that hard to do using that film you can get on ebay, I did mine in my mk2 and they look mint
Colour coding stuff like ur door handles, mirrors and the black strip on the boot will look good too
and a back box, make it sound good (y)

Looking good mate, make sure you tint the other light!:D

Alloys look smart too, what about your sound system??

woah, didn't expect the positive responces. Thanks guys! Appreciate it,
My other rear light had a small crack/hole in it so my dad went to pick me a new one up today and manged to get round to tinting it tonight. Looks better now they are both equel lol. I would reccomend tinting rear lights to anyone who hasn't already! It's great and so easy to do :)
Yeh, about the wheels, quite pleased with them myself, picked them up for £50 for all 4 at a scrappy and spent about a week sanding down/filing and painting. I was usuallyt the person to go in a nd rush straight into things but after a week working on them i'm glad I did spend all that time.

Out of interest, would it looks stupid if I tinted my rear side windows but not the back? It's just i think it may be a bit unpractical for me having the back dark if i'll be driving in it on provisional as a learner and it may obstruct my view?

two things that will dramaticly chnage the look are lower profile tyres.. i notice you have 155/75/r13 's on there a smaller profile tyre will make the car sit slightly lower .. try perhaps some 160/40/r13 's they are slightly wider for better grip and also lower profile .. so almost half the height .. also witha tyre to that sort of profile you'll notice you can afford to have more air in it .... then lowering .. even a drop of 30mm will improve your handling and the looks incredably and if you opt for just springs they are real cheap .. if your on a super budget .. and luck like me.. my local scrappy is like a modified punto heaven as over half the cars there are puntos (MK1 so perfect for me) and half of them are modified.. so mechanical stuff if im on a buget i can just rob and you sometimes find some nice treats if you look hard enough!!

I really like the alloys, lookin good, you could take them door strips off, would look better then.

Also, you got any tips on de-badging the mk1's i started on mine a few months back, got all the holes filled in but then stopped till the weather got better. Now its picked up a bit have you got any tips for painting the filler?

Ok thanks,
I sanded mine down till it was completely flush with the car yeh, then all I did was get my touch up paint (that I ordered online for the right code) then ever so lightly stroke down on the area. I put on quite a thick coat, sanded it down again and re-did it, just so it was a thicker coat to match the colour.

IMO lower it, remove the tacky hose and wiring covers, remove mud flaps and get colour coded bumpers off a sporting/GT.

i'd just like to add that what you've done is great and another suggestion would be to spray the tops of the wheels bolts white so they dont stand out!

Cheers for that. It's always good to get some feedback :)
I painted them black for a nice black/red/white effect. Looking for a similiar them to run throughout the car. Apart from the engine bay lol
Thanks for the feedback mate

Cheers for the advice, i went out today to finish up filling the holes. Ive got spray cans atm along with some primer so i'll probably start on that tomorrow whilst ive got some things to faf about with in the engine.

What did you use to cover the surrounding area with, masking tape?

I used a touch up brush rather than spray but with it. I masked off the surrounding area so the only visible part was the bit I was meant to be painting. Worked great

in a strange unique way i like it! althought the blue hose covers are not too my tast5e but its not my car! if you do want it too look smart under the bonnet too without spending much consider brake cleaner on a cloth or some gunk and clean up you're rocker cover, then maybe you could paint it blue too:D. if youcan afford to do so then lowering it and putting low profile tyres on it would be a good step, but remember it will compromise ride comfort.

and from another point of view .. DO IT!! ITS WORTH IT FOR THE LOOKS AND STANCE!!! (though .. yeah seriously its awesome and handles sweet .. but tonight i drove down some DODGEY road for about 15 miles.. i have no floor left on my car its grinded down that much .. i could do the flinstones!!)

I'd love to lower it, but as you can imagine, i'm only 16 and not even driving yet. Lowering it would A, cost loads to me and B, to my insurance. Would look great though.
I think my future mods would be:
Colour coded bumpers from a sporting
New backbox to make it sound a tad nicer
tailgate spoiler, not a huge thing lol
