Re: If its any help

Ask what his buy it now price is, that might give you an idea of what money he wants for it, he also says he will re-test it, "if it reaches a fair price", so who decides what a fair price is?

Re: from parkers price guide

Hi

I have emailed him the cars is selling now at £2700, he is not willing to sell on a buy it now.

The car will just sell at what it reaches.

The price at which he will re test the car is £2800 or above.

He also has the all important red key.

It also only has 1 previous owner and a full fiat history.

Re: from parkers price guide

Hi

I have also had a look on the auto trader website and all the Bravo HLX's with this sort of mileage are over £3000!!

I have rung two and both are sold, seems Bravos HLX's are popular.

After all a cars worth what people are prepared to pay.

The auction finishes at roughly the same time as the England Vs Portugal kick off tomorrow so ebay may be quiet and i can sneak in at the last minute.

lol

Re: from parkers price guide

Thats true.........all a guide can give you is a rough estimate, a car is worth whatever people will pay, if you are lucky and no one wants it, you get a bargain, if lots of people want it, then you pay more for it............market forces for you

Re: from parkers price guide

I agree.

I think it would be a fair price to pay if the car is as good as described and with such low mileage.

Re: from parkers price guide

Bravo residuals are very low now and you'd be silly to pay very much at all for an older model. I say an Enamel Red 1.8hlx, 66k, R Reg, with full history last month for £1250. Even the dealers are selling them off at ludicrously low prices as the (extremely ugly) Stilo takes over.

It's about time that Fiat got their act together and launched a new hatch design with some sort of appeal.

In my opinion, I hasten to add.

Re: from parkers price guide

Hi Pete

I did ask.

He told me the car is near perfect and has never been involved in any accidents, he will also supply the hpi printout.

If the buyer is not 100% happy with the car they have no obligation to pay.

It's also sold with a 1 hour trial, not long i know but better than nothing.

Thanks for replys everyone.

Re: from parkers price guide

I bought a 99 t-reg in feb with 48k, i paid £3k, but the cars body work wasnt A1, but the engine was as sweet as a nnut and as tight as a drum!!lol... the price seems fair, not a bargin either, but the condition sounds very good!

Re: from parkers price guide

Thanks Paul.

I also thought this was a fair price.

Like you said its not a bargain but its worth paying a little over the odds to get a good one.

I am going to have a look in 30 mins as the cars only 15 miles from me, i will let you know what i think.

Re: from parkers price guide

I have been to have a look and it is probably the cleanest Bravo i have seen.

The bodywork is unmarked and the interior is spotless also.

Amazingly all the electrics work.

The car also drives superbly.

The only problem i noticed was that one of the front tyres looks a little worn.

I am definitely considering putting a bid in!!
