General what colour is anthracite (gt3 alloys)

i want to spray silver alloys to look like the gt3 ones which are anthracite, what colour is the closest? (halfords paint)- so what car make and colour code/name is the closest, anyone know? thanks!!

no its not for my sisters car, just a something to do, when im bored

The paint I used for mine is Rover Charcoal Metallic (from Halfords). Its darker than anthracite but I like it

I am having this problem too, when i past my test i will be going to a fiat dealership and askigng if i can buy this paint, if not, i have have to find sum high temp paint that is a similar colour

Thanks - i think i know which one you mean and its not far off, if not just a very nice colour - but this is for bodywork isnt it? my alloys get very hot and i doubt any lacquer could with stand more than 100degrees c as well as primer and paint

yeah that is a good shade, was that done with spray cans?

kinda. the paint was mixed with a tiny bit of powder glitter first and then sprayed on to the wheels.

So did you get this mixed at halfrauds? and did they put it in spray cans or in a paint gun? if so, how many spray cans did you use or how many litres for the spray gun, and is it heat proof for when the brakes get hot - Did you do a how to somewhere?

Im gonna have to bring this up again... I went to Cliffords, a Car Spares Shop and they have two Fiat/Alfa Anthracites in their paint book... codes 653f or 672a.. thought someone must have painted their wheels proper anthracite but i must admit that ford color is a near on spot on match...

Powder coating is the way to go for alloys. No contest when compared to a spray finish.

if bushboy doesnt buy my alloys im still looking at spraying them, but i want a anthracite thats very metalic and also like when in the light a blue silver colour some thing that stands out!
