What are the symptoms of...

a clutch slave cylinder going....

and the thrust bearing....

Just have an issue with the clutch where it feels like the pedal is catching on the way down and on the way back up but I also get moments where the clutch feels heavy or takes a bit to get it to disengage - like a pop then it realises and goes down ok.

If you are I can pop up and have a look for you, my release bearing went on my old one, so know exactly what it feels like.

@ Griffy... its because it's wearing out!!

As a clutch gets older the bite point moves further away from the floor.

A mate of mine bought an escort for £50 with a knackered clutch and the bite point is so high you can change gear so quickly because you only have to put the clutch down about an inch or so!!

my slave cylinder packed up , the hand break light came on every so often , got it fixed and didnt do it any more, this happend twice as they fited a dodgey slave cylinder. you lose break fluid when its f*kd so check this also.

Release bearing maybe, I had this happen on my old one, the pedal gets about half way down and then it clicks and drops to the floor.
