What are the signs of brake disks going?

As above really. If anyone can give any advice. My disks have a lip around the edge and was wondering if I needed new ones?

If the lip is over 1.5-2mm then its time to replace.

you'll hear the brakes more than usual. you'll feel them vibrating through the steering wheel and chassis when you are braking. they'll either be all scored or have a fat lip round the edge. new standard disks are about £25 a pair, and pads will double that and then a little. not terribly expensive. Just before Donny i got new disks, and pads, plus fitting for £90 (cash job)
