not a FIAT but my dads mate has a Saab 900 turbo that has done 670K miles still on it's first engine on but it's 3rd turbo but apart from that the engine is as it left the factory
seviced every 6K miles with mobil 1 from new plus has never touched a mail dealer and between turbo failures doesn't use a drop of oil

Any reason for turbo failure?, Oil starvation? or is it just a weak turbo?

i had a mk1 punto with 103k on it and it ran perfect and never let me down and i ragged that everywhere everyday and was always redlining it then i sold it for a saxo vtr that was rapid and now i have a bravo 120T sport with 2000k on it and i love it
133,500 miles now on the Coupe 20v Turbo and still pulling strong
107,000 Miles on my 1997 Bravo still runs like a dream and doesnt burn oil Serviced every 6,000 miles using Castrol GTX Magnatec.
Had to have a new set of ARB drop links and new lower suspension arms but they are just ware and tare items
I do keep thinking about swaping it probably for a Stilo but in all honesty I'm really atached to it how sad is that

ive just retired my 97 weekend 1747 perol on 97274 miles but it has done 30,000 in the last 12 months neve missed a beat been totally abused have only had 1 filter on it and now its in the garage to be used for spares for its replacement

seen a punto in local scrappys about a year ago showing 180k,and the engine looked minted(no gundge or anything),as i was looking for a set of clocks but did,nt bother taking its ones.
