I'm getting ready to paint my yellow plastic timing belt cover for my 1978 Fiat 124 Spider. Do I need to use high heat paint or is regular paint OK?

Regular paint should be fine as that part of the engine shouldn’t get that hot, that being said the expansion and contraction of the parts might lead to the paint cracking and flaking off. Is there a reason you need to paint it?
