hello folks,
Can anyone tell me where i can get hold of the cover that stops injectors getting wet, I,m sure its had one at sometime, but its vaished.

its for a 2007. 2.3, ducato.

These covers were not fitted to early new shape ducatos so I think you would have to get one from fiat.

From what I have seen on the 3.0 version you are probably better off making your own as all it seems to do is cover up the water filled injector valley & direct the water over other electrical components - throttle body, & other electrical stuff causing other problems.
A much better idea would be for Fiat to come up with a proper fix for the leaking scuttle & recognise there is a problem with the original design.

Must agree with FreeSpirit, mine is a 2010 and has the cover but the poorly designed weatherproofing allows water in all over the place and the cover simply redirects some of it onto other items in the engine bay. Mine had rust on any unplated bolts when delivered new.
The rubber strip along the bottom of the windscreen relies on a sticky contact area to seal but mine was poorly sealed from new. Further the joint in the centre relies on a piece of foam to seal the two halves together and I have found that water drips directly onto the engine from this source as well.
Further rant is that the main drain tube on the right hand drive vehicles is on the right hand side!!! Result is that normal road camber means that water builds up on the left hand end of the channel below the windscreen and drains out through the poorly sealed joint in the centre of the channel straight onto the engine.
FIAT have been building cars forever and should be able to do better than this.
Perhaps their logic is that as Ducatos are primarily commercial vehicle used daily the engine will dry the water off, however motor homes often sit around unused for a time and the water just corrodes everything.
Regards,
Barryp
