I have a 21 Ducato.
Should there be a seal between the windscreen glass and the plastic finisher/ wiper area ( I called it a scuttle, but it may be called something else)? The thing is, what I can see, and there may be other places, water is landing on the cam cover. Has anyone noticed the same, and what was the workaround?
thanks

On my last Ducato van I used some good quality black insulating tape overlapping the screen and scuttle after carefully cleaning and degreasing the area. It worked a treat. There must be dozens of posts on various fora about Ducato scuttle leaks through the generations. Searching Google (or similar) for 'scuttlegate' will give you more information

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm still not au fait with Forums; in my view, they're like a minefield, trying to find the right words to navigate the different posts. As you suggest, the 'dear old' Google is an option too. As I now know it has been an issue, I will 'clear the mine' and find a solution for me.

I do as @broc does with insulation tape replacing it as necessary.
But water still enters the engine bay and drips on the cam cover from the wiper spindle.
It could be designed that way to cool the DPF to reduce cracking.
