I have a 2018 fiat ducato Mohome
The amber engine check warning light is on
If I take the vehicle on a short run but give the engine a bit of hard work ,up a steep hill say, the waring light goes off when restarting
I suspected lambda sensor at the cat , does anyone else have / had this problem?? Any answer will be great fully received
Thank you

There are a number of members that will help with use of Multiecuscan nearest to you i can find is in Blackpool

Use this template preferably for a 20 min run from cold
This will identify if the sensor is working as a minimum

Thank you for your replys. I will see if I can find a multiecuscan locally and take it from there. How do I find the member in Blackpool please

Hi, sorry I can’t seem to open the message you sent, not sure why…yes I can assist I’m around most of the time, but being a farmer i’m in and out…what times are you usually available and I’ll see what my ‘rota’ is like and try and work around you

Maybe unrelated but recently checked my sisters Renault with light on , car runs fine and clean exhaust , good on fuel etc.
The problem was the down stream Lambda sensor, but was related to the heating element part.
Modern Lambda sensor have the two wires voltage and signal, but also another pair (often white) that warm the sensor up from cold so that it reacts quicker to control the emissions more accurately, in her case that was the problem.
If this is the case it may be why the warning goes off as engine worked harder and warmed up.
I believe the initial reason they went to ones with heaters is if cars only did short journeys they never achieved "Lambda" so carried on polluting even though they could pass an emissions test when warmed up fully.
Obviously a good error code read is required to prove this or not in OPs case.;)
