I have recently had the car resprayed and am picking up way too many stone chips in a short peiod of time.
Is this too be expected with crap modern paints?
Should i be taking it back to the body shop?
Is there any way of testing the paint for strength/thickness etc etc.

Thanks

Stu

Over existing paint but same colour although they must have used an Orangey undercoat.

think its the paints now days mate, i had my front bumper sprayed it was a brand new abarth bumper had it flat (yellow) colour sprayed and then lacquered around a year ago. It is totalled covered in chips most just through the top coat but a fair few down to primer, and i dont tail other people or anything its really annoying:bang:. i might get it resprayed and look at the various protective films around theres one based up the road from me called Paint Shield take a look on the net, only thing is it mentions no price but i reckon no more than £300-500max but that might be worth it:rolleyes: i'll do some research lol
