Technical warning triangle

Technical warning triangle

i have not got a t-jet
i have seen the faq and got my results and then confirmed it with a garage.
i checked the oil not so long ago but now it has gone down i wanted to put some in.
it was a sub question to the main question as it could be related.

tell you what i get the feeling this website is a bit hostel!

a lot of angry people who dont like others asking questions!

Was the oil below min on the stick. Get oil pressure switch checked if not

it was indeed below the minimum on the dip stick but only just.
i supose the yellow was not a fault it was telling me i had no bloody oil.
ive filled it to maximum now (bit below) and drove to work (15 miles)
the light (triangle) come on as normal (filled it last night) but had to go to the shop and after when i started it it didn't come back on so hopefully......
fingers crossed. (y)

I am sorry for how i replied and for not making more sense:
-you have already been told that the warning/error message you are getting could be related to many things and best/easiest/cheapest way of finding out why it's there is o read the fault codes (better yet buy the Multiecuscan software and a cheap e-bay ELM327 and read/clear codes yourself).
-after three days of complaining you still had not read the fault codes ( as it was already suggested) , and then you said "i will go to local garage on way home and get 5w-40 oil i mean is there much of a difrance?"
-yes there is much difference, that is why i recommended you use that specific oil.
-as for why i thought you had the T-Jet, in your first post you said: "its a duelogic 1.4 sport"
-when the oil pressure light comes on from lack of oil (because the engine ate it) it is probably already to late ..because the engine has been running dry for thousands of miles. ( it is not an oil level indicator, it's oil pressure - totally different)

Can we kiss and make up?
I do like helping people, but hate to have to repeat the same thing over and over again.

it was said with a smile,

ok ive ordered a elm327

Yep, a software license.
The free version of MES gives you squat on a GP apart from CAN info (which won't help you)
You need the licensed version.

brill thanks for that,
i would not do it my self but where would someone ;) get a keygen or crack for the program? i wounder if someone could pm me or maybe give a little cle? so i can make sure i wont do it you see as im thick as pig sh*t.

;););)

Don't be a cheap b@5tard now - a license is only £46 - that's less than an hour's labour at the stealers, and you've got the program to use again then.

Or ask nicely if there's someone local with the package who will come and do it for you.
Keygens and cracks stop software from being developed as they rip the costs away from the developer.

ok ok i see, :worship:
but i am a cheap b@5tard hahaha.

Depending on your version of the ELM327, you will have to get adapter cables, and maybe even remove one of the resistors from the EML327 circuit board for it to work with some features..(like connecting to the body computer).
I you can still view/clear error codes for some of the modules with the free version, so no need to upgrade yet.

But if you find yourself using it and don't want the drawbacks of the free version or you just require more , just register it; it would be 50 euro well spent!

You can on many cars, yes, but not on the GP.
On the supported vehicles list all the modules (apart from CAN info) are in red text, so you need the license to connect to them.

The bare minimum you need for full coverage on the GP is:
- an ELM327 interface (with a genuine ELM327 chip or the resistor mod)
- the yellow adaptor cable
- full version license
(in other words the CAN-only bundle)

I can only recommend what I've used, that is Multiecuscan.
So why would you want to buy something that might not work, might not be able to access all the different ECUs.

I think the older versions allow more access ..you can try o fin some versions of the software with the old name FiatECUscan...
