I have a 2016 fiat 500x . The warning light : service keyless entry system has activated. Does anyone have experience with this warning? What service is required? What is the problem or fix? Any input would be appreciated.
I have the exact same car, same issue, came up at about the same time (in the past few weeks)! My local shop.. not a FIAT specialist but they've worked on my car effectively before.... says minimum $175 diagnostic charge to see what's up. Did you do the "code reading"? I don't even know what that is, but will research it.I have a 2016 fiat 500x . The warning light : service keyless entry system has activated. Does anyone have experience with this warning? This is way above my head, but I learned something I think. Thank you!Out of general Interest for 500X owners with a more tecnical bias It often helps to now how a system works and where the major compoents are even if you are not able to work on the system yourself. Least when a garage/dealer starts rambling on you know what they are talking about, or even if they know what they are talking about!

My FIAT service centre in Vancouver, Canada replaced the RFHub radio frequency hub module. The shop discovered water leaking into the RFhub which caused the malfunction. I understand the RFhub is located on the driver's rear quarter panel of the vehicle. they also replaced the passive entry module. They repaired the water leak. Everything now works correctly but after spending almost $1,000 Canadian. They also had to reprogram the two keys.I have the exact same car, same issue, came up at about the same time (in the past few weeks)! Thanks for your reply. Not what I wanted to hear ($1000!), but it's good to know you got it fixed. The FIAT service center in Portland (OR) wanted me to leave it for up to a week for their dx and fix. I would have to pay for a rental car. I'll share with my local mechanics what you learned.
