Warning light, duologic.

Hi all, I need help in trying to get to the bottom of a breakdown of my wifes punto grande.
Heres what happened. While driving our car I pulled up at junction pulled off and the car, being an automatic, it went into second gear and I noticed that the car felt like I had pulled off with the handbreak on. It then went into Neutral so I manually put it in gear. The car drove two yards then into Neutral. There's a warning light, with a bloody annoying bleeping.....tha light looks like a car shape with the bonnet up. Theres a message that says transmission see hand book, alse when trying to select a geat it says gear unavailable.. Beeping all the time. Ive checked all fuses even taken heat shield off and filled up transmission fluid, which was half empty/full. Taken battery off over night and nothing. Tje guy who towed me back home plugged in his machine and said he could not find what was wrong with it. Please help. Thanx Kev and Sarah.

You're probably best posting it in the section relevant to your car. This section is about FIAT as a company. You can access the model sections either in the black bar, at the top of each web page; or from the front page of the forum itself. Hope this helps....
