can anyone please help. i have a weekend 2000 with central locking but want remote locking. have read about a relay replacement which would work.i have looked for yellow relay in glove box but can only find large green relay base but no relay can anyone help me upgrade.have contacted fiat who say there is no upgrade available.

The yellow relay is the remote locking one - bought separately. The accessories catalogue gives the part number 46001190 - £70. It's shown on the Punto page so check it applies to Bravo/a/Marea.

Nonsens !

The guy dows NOT have a yellow relay !!!!

If the car does not have a relay to control the central locking, you need something like this:

Meta Systems M 320 S with a Fiat connection cable.

It's an additional control-boks (with aerial) that plugs into the excisting box and the wiring from the car goes into the M320 box (and not tho original as before).

If have such a system in my facelifted Fiat Brava 100 HSX 1999, and it came with 2 remotecontrols.
The design of the remote's seems to vary, and it is my belief that it depends on where you buy it...

Fiat sells the kit here in Denmark with partnumber: 5909893

As I recall the kit cost me 65 Euro, and I installed it myself in less than 5 minuttes

As Mr Anonymous says.

Microscan do one i believe is universal to all cars that have central locking. EXCEPT cars with cable operated central locking systems like some older models of cars.

Im sure all new Fiats run the central locking with some kind of compression system but not entirely sure how it operates as ive never had any need to take mine apart, yet.

Have a look at the Microscan SCL3000 Remote Keyless Entry System. Its £49.99 on there website but my local car accessories shop sells it for £35 so shop about.

Its as esy to fit as the one Anonymous has.

Easy LMarr.... installing MicroScan products is only easy if you know exactly which wires need cutting. The Fiat relay is a quick and easy relay swap job. The part I quoted will fit the Marea + you may be able to get it cheaper from www.desirabury.co.uk

???

The partnumber: 5909893 from Fiat is installed without cutting wires!

It's an extra box that "piggybacks" the remotelocking controlbox.

As I said: it takes 5 minuttes :)
