That CAN be done. I have been trying to get an option working in the control panel that turns it on and off, as yet i haven't got it working... a work in progress as it were :)
 
I am sorry but I must put my few pennies worth in here. When I first joined this forum it was more car orientated with people trying to get others interested in showing their cars as a club. This was stopped after numerous complaints that it would effect other sites, ( IMO so what? surly we are old enough and ugly enougth to decide what club we what to support! ). Since this has happened I seem to spent time on other sites reading up on modifications and shows and reading show reports as I cannot find any of this on the forum ( maybe I am blind:eek: ) This site I have used for the entertainment and family feeling that it puts out in the LL with its arguments and fun threads. The one thing this forum is very good at as we do not seem to want to become a 'car club' in the way other forums have become. Now that is being controlled or destroyed :( . Where or what is the forum aiming for somewhere people can arrange social meets only ( which are good ) or also a place where we can discuss our cars, what we intend doing etc, and then get together at some of the shows and show off our creations as a group of fellow enthusiasts under the forum name, which I think will work as I have noticed the car forums are quite quiet, even new members sign up pop in and then disappear into the wild. I am sorry if I have miss read the situation but I felt the urge to speak.

Ok chaps (and chappess's) - your beloved post count is back MINUS any posts from the LL (thank you Steve for pointing that feature out). Hopefully this will now keep you people happy.

ALSO:

1) The reputation bar will be given an overhall tomorrow by myself, and will be represented by a bar graph instead. This will be linked to your useful points made on the forum, but still only added and removed by moderators (stops abuse) ... which brings me on to point 2

2) Me and my team are going to look to appoint some new moderators to the various sections, who in turn will hopefully drive more car orientated people to the site, and also allow them the honour of saying they help run the FF... :D

Any complaints.... ;) :p

One thing i do have to ask though, what would you want from a club that you can't already get from the numerous other ones...?

Only thing I can think of is some sort of an umbrella discount. Ie, you join FF and we join you up with the car club relevant to you. Like an affiliate scheme. Don't have a clue how this would work though!

Possibly be able to offer you the discounts available to all the clubs in the scheme....?

Well, its now 5am, but the graph is done... behold :)
You only need 1 rep point to get your first green square and then it goes up accordingly....

So to recap:
1) LL is no longer included in post count
2) Rep points will now be given out by mods for useful posts (which will help your green bar :))
3) I'M GOING TO BED!!!! :D

Ben, are you going to look through the back catelog of posts in the technical sections etc...? I've at leats 320 useful posts (alledgedly!)

actually thinking about it the rep scheme does exactly what i was going to suggest, never mind lol

i was thinking the rep was just for good posts, but its also for bad posts too....oops :eek:

i havent had my full 9 hours sleep...please forgive me lol
