More rpm and less chance of valve float.
Mike. You know nothing of my build. If the car was standard I would not bother. I have had the head ported and some piper fast road cams put in. I welcome criticism but it needs to be constructive mate.
And you are right. I don't know. But I've asked. And you didn't tell the first time.
I did think that but can't find much on the subject. I would think other fiats have the same springs in, but I'm worried I'd damage the engine if I get it wrong.
I'm not attempting to tune it. I'm trying to do the research, hence asking people on a Fiat forum for some advise and help. Someone will know the answer to my question, hopefully that person is here. I've looked for a long time, I've obsessed over it, but I can't find the information I need. Being a 25 year old car makes it that bit more difficult to find parts. So yeah, I'm stuck mate.
The previous generation Punto 176 sporting used double valve springs, which is my preferred go to. The thing is finding a head with these particular springs is near impossible. Nobody makes them anymore as far as I can tell so I was hoping someone might know some other options. I'll probably just end up leaving the standard ones in, but whilst the engine is in bits I'd thought I would put the feelers out.
