my dad gave my mum a cactus once... but he killed it, was in a big pot by the front door he came back from the pub one nite and fell/sat on it. It never recovered.

I should imagine falling on a cactus would hurt...I think I once managed to stick one to one of my hands when it fell over whilst I was watering it...

my dad didnt even notice he was so drunk, think he was too ashamed the next morning to complain! the cactus went brown shrivvelled up and died, dont blame it really ...
