whats the van, a corsa van? Prefer a Ford Connect? (mini transit/focus van bstrd offspring) but with the 2.4TDci engine

Raced a ford connect with a citreon berlingo and the citroen whopped the ford, they're not that amazing.

ah but what engine was it? the citroen would have had a 1.9TDI lifted from a ZX or something
in the connect they also do the stonkingly awefull 1.8TDI from really old mondeos and first generation focus's (you know the ones with more turbo lag than a boing 777), then the newer 1.8TDCi @ 115bhp, then the next one up iis the 2.4TDci with 150bho

lol :d @ u lot on about vans! well ive had both a belngo hdi and now the corsa 1.7 td and i can say they are pretty even! but as im soon going to "slightly" modded the actuator to run a little more boost im sure i can see em off lol!
as alex say tho, off topic! but gotta say, that blue combo looooooks sooooooooooo phat!

well, gonna have ot do the rear beam tomoz nite, as i needed dads help and he was too busy
but on a good note, im off to pick up my brembo coupe 20VT sport pack drilled discs and sport pads at the weekend cheap from my mate who works at brembo

Yes it is off topic It was private land and the ford was the 2.4Tdci and yes the citroen was the 1.8 (thought it was a 1.9 but fiar does) and although i dont like either cars i would never buy ford, i do a chassis repair on a minibus every weekend and they're all about 3 years old. Yack, anyway, end of - the citroen was better than the ford.

cheers for your comments lads, should hopefully be a machine! needed it 3 times today when a saxo, 106 and a corsa were all playing on the A50 back from work! soooooo wish i had it then to to show em that old skool rules!
got the 16" MOs so i could actually fit the brakes, wont really help at all with traction much, but we'll soon find out!
well a small update for you all.
over weds nite and thurs nite (tonite0 ive been busy removing all the bits off my rear beam ready for it to go to the powder coaters
managed to get the passenger side rear caliper off and a couple of other bits on the wed nite before i had to go out
but that was all i could do that nite. anyway, tonite, thurs, me and my dad managed to strip the rest of the beam down. had to drill the bolts out of the d/s rear caliper as they were stuck fast!
after ALOT of messing about they were both eventually off and my rear discs were still looking as new with no signs of wear at all! so they'll be goin back on!
then it was onto getting the rear bushes out, this prooved hard too and dad had to really really whack them out! took us ages!
eventually we got them out and u can see the old crappy fiat ones V my new powerflex jobbies! cant wait to get the beam back and whack these bad boys in!
and a random shot of the rear calipers and rear bushes together, just to proove i got them all off lol
anyway, i thought id spray the rear discs up (obviosly not on the braking surface) so got the old hammerite anti rust primer on them ready for the black top coat which i'll do tomoz!
thats all im affriad! doesnt look much, but it was bloody hard work with all the rusty bolts an crap! lol

Gona run it for 6 months and then do a dunc style resoration!
While running about in a Diahatsui Charade turbo or mk1 UT during the restoration!
But before all that.....gota get rid of my damm peice of crap french 405 deisel!!!!
