Technical Use of Coolant

Becuase its something which could (but shouldn't) leak just like brake fluid, oil etc, and topping up is the common sense thing to do to prevent damage until the issue is resolved - people have to be told this though, as most would be to stupid and would leave it as it is rather than top it up.

OK I'll let you guys know next service if there is any serious issues.

All i do know is that my car uses coolant over time and i remember reading the manual that this is considered normal as fiat themselves tell to check and top up if necessary every 3000 km.

If this was out of the ordinary they would say check car at dealer or their most severe warning (for red oil pressure light) STOP CAR IMMEDIATELY AND HAVE IT TOWED TO NEAREST DEALER = ))

You have answered your own question then.
If no evidence of a leak and no detrimental effects it must be fine and quite normal.
Mine hasn't lost any water in 20k miles though : / ???
