USB/Blackberry charger

does anyone know if a BB curve 8520 will charge off the usb to mini usb cable if I plug it into my 500?

It doesn't appear too, however it will if I plug it into the laptop.

I did try a search on this before posting, so sorry if I missed it, but any help much appreciated.

Sadly not Tracy. The B&M USB port only provides enough current to power a memory stick.

Either of these would give you a USB charger port from the in car socket.

My HTC Touch Dual and as far as I know all of the Windows Mobile phones on the market can be charged via the Blue&Me USB port. But as Mikey said, your BB Curve might need some extra juice that Blue&Me USB port cannot provide.

Tracey, a belated answer I know but my 8520 charges up fine from the USB port.
