All done and sound difference is absolutely amazing, ive replaced both front and rear speakers (not tweeters though), What a difference, Cant believe how bad those original fiat speakers are, must of cost fiat about 50p for those speakers, What a pile of crap.

For anyone who wants to know what i installed

The front door speakers were Clarion SRR1735 (3 way) 200w
The rear side speakers were Clarion SRR1725 (coaxial 2 way) 180w

Bought both sets off good old ebay £20 each and £9 delivery

A bargain i must say for superb sounding speakers

Stilosporting - I managed removing only part of the door card i was working on did not have to remove them completely, and yes i butchered the old speakers to make mounts, Thanks for that bit of advice and easy enough to do.

Do you think its worth replacing the tweeters, and i was thinking of spraying the tweeter grills silver to match the car think it will look quite good, any suggestions.

you will notice even more difference in the high ranges. will sound so much clearer. are you powering the speakers straight from the hu or an amp?

i really should get the rears done but sounds a right pain!

Powering the speakers straight from the head unit, Ive gat a
Sony CDX-DAB6650
Basically its a new hu 300 quid in the argos, plays mp3 and also has DAB digital radio.

Max output 52w x 4, the hu also has a sub output but not sure how i would connect this as i dont want an amp but wouldnt mind a small sub, but then again dont need one now.

To fit the rear speakers was a bit of a pain but well worth it bud, there is a guide and they rekon you dont have to remove the rear seats but it does make it easier.

Any ideas on some tweeters then, any particular brand.

not sure, i got mine as a set they are pioneer TS-A172C separare two way. 220W MAX. am crap at ice so seeked advice from bozzy&steve1219 :worship:

am trying to keep my install pioneer. i have a pioneer avic x1r hu pioneer subs and a pioneer amp. (and kenwood 1000w amp too )

I haqve a 54 plate 1.4 stilo and was wondering if upgrading the speakers as per those below will have a noticeable improvement in sound quality.

1.2 16v Sound System

Does anyone know the correct size for replacement component speakers for the 1.2 Stilo? I think the rear ones are 6.5", but I'm not sure about the front. Any help much appreciated.

bozzy, can a different size be fitted without a lot of hacking/damaging? im quite fond of the bose upgrade speakers that rich has got, but it will be nice to have some bigger ones in there

I had the Bose in my 1.6 but went for something extra in the JTD. It's something you only want to do once so I went all out for Calrion 6.5" straight fit components. With these in place I was able to lose the subs in the rear as they dealt with all the ranges well. Bachs Tocata is easily the best track to listen too with this set-up.

The 6.5's go in easy, search on "pod" and the advice is there.

As stated in the other thread on this I was having trouble that I got the wrong tweaters(they looked exactly like the fronts). Well just looked over these parts codes again and Rich has listed the wrong codes here for the tweaters. Those two are exactly the same so I have two useless 5door speakers. Wonder if they'll take them back. Can someone please give me the right codes for the tweaters? Need these badly

you need 6.5" speakers (17cm)
