Dear Community,

In my Ducato 9 when installing a reverse camera, i detected one spare cable and i like to know for what this is intended.

Beside The rear break 2 pin cable and the 6 pin camera cable there is this 3 pin cable with a black, white and a red/green cable.

Can anyone tell me what this is and where it ends?

Many Thanks.

I don't know specifically about the 2025 model, so this is speculation; but if you don't have a courtesy light installed inside above the door, that could be the connector for it. The color code matches the "tailgate courtesy light" wiring in the pre-2014 version. In that case black would be earth, red-green would be power, and white would be a 'door open' negative signal.

I think that answer is most probably correct. I noticed a similar connector when preparing to fit a camera to my x244, which does not have the rear courtesy light. Having just checked the colour codes there is a near perfect match with eLearn for the x244. I had to substitute observed Green/Black, for Black/Green (NV), on the diagram.
