Underlined Highlighted Words

Noticed a lot of this in posts recently, initially I thought it was just a few boffins messings around with HTML but its been cropping up in loads of posts.

In this post the word 'PASS' is Underlined And Highlighted and gives the wrong description when you hover the mouse over it.

Is this a Forum thing or has some bastard thing attached itself to my browser? or has something attaced itself to the posters Browser's?

I noticed that earlier. Nothing has been mentioned about it to my knowledge. It seems to be linking through to Wikipedia.

Can't remember the name of it, but it's in the forum software. it'll link you to a relevant thread, user profile or just tell you what an abbreviation means.

Its just the randomness it adds to post and when you put the mouse over the word more often then not I've been given a totally irrelevant something which I don't care for I'm just extra like that don't worry bout me!

Im sure they make all the difference on a chokker block 56k line - i personally like them, its not just newbies that sometimes ask stupid questions.
