Technical Twinair camshaft sensor

Morning all,

Looking for a bit of advice, just purchased a 4x4 and after about 170miles yesterday it threw an EML.

MES suggested cam sensor, but any ide where it is?

I think I've isolated it to a plug on the gearbox end of the engine, beside vacuum pump and what I think is the stat.

Currently about 320miles from home and with limited tools - any advice appreciated!

Nothing conclusive I'm afraid,
Will it clear / reset

I have a Twinair outside.. But no MES to hand


Or I would unplug said sensor looking for that error

I found it, replaced it and still no joy, we ended up returning the car for a refund as it would have been extortionate to have it recovered home.

Longs story we went to from Southampton to Fife, to Durham
