General Twin Sunroof panda on Eastenders

Finally pick this up on Wednesday the 20th, yes that was a long week  anyway turns out that this panda is a bit of a celebrity other than eastenders. Was told today that McDonnalds ran an a Christmas TV advert a year or so ago where the panda was used in it. Apparently they go shopping buy a christmas tree which sticks out of the roof but can't get through the drive through because of the tree, I vaguely remember it. They had to buy a twin sunroof panda to fit the tree in so was purpose bought for that add. It's also been on a few other shows so will find out more when I collect it.

I'm sure the one in Two Pints was a tin top, I could be wrong though, gonna check the Panda in Green Wing thread to see what my original thoughts were. I remember the McDonalds advert well, what year was it out? I'm wondering if I had my Panda by then or not.

The Eastenders car sounds very exciting, though, and I can't wait to see pics of it when it gets to its new home.

Edit: It was a soft top.

Finally got to see the ad and checked the details on DVLA it's a 1994 1108 on an M reg and according to DVLA the tax doesn't run out till oct 07.

There was a bit of this file won't save etc but finally sorted it to disc :)

Hope it's not scratched to buggery, and they cleaned the pine needles out :(

Excellent Alan. When you bring it over for the all Ireland show you'll have to make up A story board of all the ads etc the car has been in and park it beside Sylvia. " famous Pandas in the one place". :worship:

 You'll have to think up a fitting name for it.
