Okeedokey then.
The biggest problem I have with getting these individual issues resolved is that I have to take a day off work to get to the dealership and then hang around with the car until it has been looked a, whichcan be several hours. They do not supply courtesy cars. Well, they do, but you have to pay for them, but that is another matter.
The vehicle is due for it's first service very shortly and rather than take numerous days off work to get these individual faults sorted, I'm going to get them looked at at once. That is why there are so many faults built up over a period of time. However I have not made up any of the faults, or issues, if you like. They all exist on a single one year old vehicle, at one time.
I have the car on a three year personal hire contract, I think it's called. I am working with the sales department of the dealership to see when it may be possible to move across to a diesel without spending too much more money (if I decide that is an option) and also VERY patiently with the service department to find out why the MPG, (in my opinion) is so poor.
I do not believe that any of the faults was a good enough reason to reject the vehicle and I have an excellent working relationship with Fiat UK and my dealership and between us hopefully we can resolve the issues. But I am extremely disappointed with the car. And, as such, I would not, personally recommend a 500L twin-air to a potential purchaser.
The Fiatforum is an open forum. I have as much right to voice my opinions on the poor quality of my vehicle as much as anyone has to say how great their vehicles are. I have been a regular contributor to different sections of the Fiatforum over the years, almost always with helpful advice, tech tips, useful photos and positive feedback and support. Therefore I refuse to be berated because I have provided negative feedback about the 500L.
My 500L is a huge disappointment. I am working with Fiat to resolve the issues I have and hopefully once we have done these things, I will be able to tell other users where rattles are coming from, whether my MPG is actually poor and if it is how we resolved it and hopefully provide information on resolving other issues that have occured. Until then I can only caution others that these faults are there and may occur on their vehicle. And I may do that in a most disappointing tone.....
The fact is that my 500L has numerous faults. I have reported these in this forum. Yes, I'm moaning. That's ok, I'm allowed to. When some of these issues are resolved I can and will report with glee how we resolved them.
In the meantime, I will reiterate that I do appreciate all the support and helpful advice I have received since I've started posting in this section.
Bear with me. We may get some issues resolved. We may not.
And I am certainly not going to get in to a war of words on here with anyone. We are blessed in this section to have a dynamis and knowledgeable moderator, which is excellent. And all of you are Fiat enthusiasts as I am. I am absolutely certain you are all very enthusiastic about your individual vehicles. And I have no doubt that you are all great folk who are disappointed with my comments and, it may seem to you, apparent lack of action regarding my vehicle. Fair enough, your perogative too, my friends.
But in the meantime, (he says very tongue in cheek) it does say 'pandabloke' on the posts, so just don't read them if you don't want to.
And when I have a positive spin on this car, I will most certainly let you all know about it. (Actually, it does have more legroom in the back then both the Dacia Duster and the Kia Soul!)
So we've all said our piece. Fair enough. Points taken. Now then, I shall start a post to appease you all!
