I understand where he is coming from with the pet. I mean they are clever enough to depress the clutch then put it into gear, disengage the handbrake and then feed the power in to stop it stalling. Clever animals

And if its not the animals driving your car off we all know how cars like to put themselfs into gear  Love it how manual cars can drive themselfs in beanys eyes aswell. Going on a rampage pmsl.

tis a valid point, my poltergeist is covered on my insurance so if he drives off all is dandy.

hes not to good with the clutch mind

FFS, I dont make the laws and im not saying its LIKELY, im saying it COULD happen and HAS happened in the past hence why it is ILLEGAL.

thats all, no need to be a smart arse

So sorry Matt ill go and change the Law immediately. how silly of me.

What animals are the most likely to take control of your car if you leave them in? And would chocking the wheels help prevent the car in anyway from driving itself?

Right... I have come across one more problem, I thought it would proberly happen but was hoping I would get lucky as there is no key actually in the ignition.

When the turbo timer is running I cannot use the remote central locking. My guess is that there is a wire connected to the central locking system that becomes live when the ignition is on. If i manage to find this wire and cut it to stop the live feed the central locking system should then 'think' that the ignition is never actually being used and will allow me to lock the doors with the ignition running using the remote.

Does anyone know of any reason why that would not work? And does anyone one know where i would find this wire, without me checking all of them with a multimeter?

Thanks
Sean

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. There must be a live from ignition disabling the central locking. Wouldn't have a clue where to look. Would need a wiring diagram which unless your a Fiat Tech will be hard to come across :p.

This would be linked to the auto door locking mechanism, the doors can be set to lock at I think 10Mph, that can be disabled via the dash Menu though.

Does anyone know where about all the wires are for the central locking, im thinking there gonna be at the fuse board behind the blue and me USB, bloody akward to get to!

yes they are there on the multiplug (yellow green and blue IIRC one to lock one to unlock and one to deadlock ((from my fialed attempt to wire in a cheap car alarm))
