Tuning turbo time!

might of worded it wrong... its the good tight :)

the pistons without rings have a tiny bit of play and the rings are tight... its all perfecto

all in and torqued up! took longer then expected but i did it all as clean as neat as i could. might as well get it all right on the first go.

oh and yeh as rallycinq said i checked each ring in the bore to see how big the ring end gap was. all look good but i guess if they wasnt the engine would be foobed already :)

only think im a little concerned about is the pistons are not relived for the 8valve head. im guessing it will be fine(trickers is fine) might just stop it been a non-interference engine

The valves wont hit tops of the pistons unless the crank gear slips a fair bit but my old head had around 1mm skimmed off
good work
how did you deglaze the bores?

you could set it back to normal though... i dont see why it would affect anything, apart from possibly needing a longer belt...?
yeh you get adjustable cam pulley.

thats good then.. ill check in anyway with an old head gasket (ill try a bit of playdoh to see how close things get to)

I used a fine hone. I have quite a few tools for messing about with the bores of engines because of the bikes.

Awwww thats a cute little turbo lol
use an air line or a foot pump to pressure up the actuator to make sure it works fine and set the gate pressure
