Tuning a 100TD??

Ok... so we all know the JTD is the diesel to go for...

but as i read somewhere the 100TD is the same as the 100TJD but no fancy electronics.

My simple question is... can you get a normal 100TD to shift any quicker??

if so.. how??

i think its the same metal lump, but the fuel delivery, and ecu are VERY different.

100td

100td has a conventional mechanical diesel pump. You can get a tuning module which you plug somewhere don't ask exactly where for about £300-350 which will boost power up to about 125bhp and also a corresponding amount in torque. Given the large turbo I imagine this would make for quite entertaining performance and worth while. The TD already has an intercooler so not much else you can do. Mucking around with the induction side won't gain you very much and if anything could be detrimental. To find out where to get a module best bet would be to look in Diesel Car mag.
