Tracking - help its making me depressed

the days of enjoying hours of driving in my bravo seem like a distant memory to me. lol. (enough with the dramatics).

to cut a long story short i hit a curb at at 60 mph. this was about 4 months ago.

the tire burst immediately so i had it replaced.

the problem is now my steering wheel points to the left yet the car pulls to the right.

ive now had my tracking done 3 times .

the 1st time it greatly reduced my problem, yet he said he cant do anymore because the nut had seized. i took it elsewhere and they put some heat on it and aparenlty got it smack on. NO!

took it back he said hes got it perfect , but its still pulling, and said it is probably because i have got a rotational tire on the one side.

ive bin told this is a load of rubbish and were wondering what you think, i really need it sorting out, ive recently replaced front shocks, discs and pads.

i think either something has bent in the collision, or they just havnt managed to free the seized nut enough to get it accurate, what do you think it could be as im at a total loss.

Re: Untitled

All the suspention and steering is connected, so can easily be changes.

have a good look at the suspension, drop links, hub, drive shaft etc...take a good look.

Re: Untitled

I would be surprised if there isn't some damage to the suspension. I slightly kurbed mine at under 30mph & had it checked out & the tracking done but it didn't quite seem right, it wasn't until I noticed that the O/S/F seemed a little lower than the N/S/F that I checked it myself & saw it had slightly bent the suspension strut & swing arm. The garage who had looked at it & did the tracking never noticed it!

Best get that wheel off & give everything a thorough inspection.

Re: Untitled

More than likely the wishbone has been bent! You can pick them up relatively cheaply and is a diy job at home. Go to a decent garage and get it checked out properly to make sure no other damage has been done!

Re: Untitled

best case scenario you have bent a whishbone worst case you have bent the subframe or even worse a chassis rail.

the wishbone and sub frame can be replaced but the chassis rail will need to be bent back on a jig which will mean the cr is a write off.

get the wishbone replaced if it still does it then have a accident rapair centre measure the sub frame and chassis rail to see if they are bent.

if the subframe is bent i can help you out as i have a spare in the shed.
