The Royal Wedding was planed months in advance, this pretty much happened over night.
Was watching This Morning this morning (funny enough...), and they had someone high up from the MET (no idea what his title was), all officers have been called in and doing 12 hour shifts. All of them have been called in from leave, all training has been cancelled. All Specials have been asked to come in as well.
I do love things like this when people moan at the Police for not being heavy handed...believe it or not, we aren't America don't go round shooting people for fun.

First, 16000 police to be deployed in the streets of London tonight. F*ck me, thats more than the entire number of Gardaí in the whole of the republic
Also, the media is not helping. "Police are overwhelmed" "Police are expecting even worse looting and violence" "2 hours of looting and no police presence, free to loot" I'm going to be bold and say if this wasn't emphasised as much in the news, this mindlessness wouldn't be as big... Its all over the news here in Ireland

"The need to respect us and well show them respect" says another. Respect destroying their local community, morale and wasting taxpayers money and time? PI*S OFF YOU WASTERS
Now I may not be English but it really annoys me to see this sort of rubbish being let happen
You don't see that level of violence in Belfast or Northern Ireland in general because the PSNI aren't afraid to show some brute force to the crowds. Violence is kept to a minimum up there. That needs to be shown in England

By no means are these riots good. Especially for the upset and damage they have caused. Both mentally and physically. But once it subsides, the government may finnaly introduce 0 tolerance to chavism and sort the place out
