I Have a 1999 Fiat Brava 1.2SX with no modifications and I can get 122mph on a long stretch of road, lol no gatsos down the A38.

Just wondering what other people can get out of theres

Thank you dry sludge for confirming what i thought! I got it up to 120 on the speedo down the motorway, but since the quoted top speed is 107 or something like that I was a bit dubious as to its accuracy. Did you confirm it with GPS? I plan to if I can get my dad in the car with me doing that speed (then again he's not exactly gonna open the door if I'm doing that s he?)

Had mine showing 120mph once. However - there is no way on this earth that a 1.2 can do that. Clocks must be way out at that point. The HGT behind me was showing 125 on her clock.

afair the speedo would be about 10% out, which at 120 makes 108, matching the offical top speed pretty much. None the less, still impressive from a 1.2

I think i was in 4th in roadworks doing 40mph. Its an impressive mod called photoshop 7 that gives the ncrease in top speed

You can tell its photoshopped. Look at the fuel gauge. I incorrectly set it to more than 1/4 full

ive gotta 1.6sx and got bout 135 topping out with no engine mods im suprised how close the 1.2 and hlx are considering the difference!

my bravo is on the end of his breath at 132 mph.
it's a '99 1900JTD chipped to 138HP but it's still not enough,now I going for a longer gearbox

I had just over 130 one xmas day on a very quite M1 but when I tried to beat it on the A50 I only managed to get to 120 before the nice uniformed chappy in a volvo with blue lights stopped my fun.

on tueday evening i had 119mph (gps confirmed) out of my girlfriend's mk2 punto sporting (same 1.2 16v engine as bravo). this was on a flat stratch of road and it definately could have kept on going (loads of revs left in 6th) but i had to slow down for traffic. even my bravo cant get much more than 120mph, which tells me every car should have a 6 speed gearbox. why dont they?!
