I have a 2015 Fiat 500 C which came with a Blue & Me 2 GPS that sits in a socket in the dash and a removable cradle. This and many units have been discontinued. People buying second hand off Amazon for their Fiat 500's or other such places should be aware of the different TomTom models which are Blue & Me, Blue & Me 2, and Blue & Me LIVE. LIVE gave current traffic while driving. One unit I think had a plug in to the cigarette lighter and ability to listen to music. I don't have those two. I download map updates on the TomTom My drive web site using my Windows programed lap top and a cable. The other Blue & Me 2 LIVE can be charged with WIFI and I think there was another option to purchase a unit . My problem I had was I needed a new battery. On YouTube there is a demonstration on how to change this battery and it has to be done without breaking any of the connection. My lighted on off button on the top left side lights up but can't turn on or off anymore from opening it you have to be very careful. Shuts off when the car stops or turns on when I start. A battery can be purchased online. I also downloaded the TomTom GPS for my phone and use the two at the same time. It was a deal to download on my Samsung S23 for one year at $20.00 a promo cost still affordable regular priced. I got a holder for my cell phone that slides onto my heat grill.
The battery I got and found my old one and new battery still work, is ordered from NewPower99 and the video is on YouTube titled, NewLife2Oldstuff YouTube video shows you how to change the new battery and my car is about nine years old now. Amazon has them for many different models. I think there is a USA and a Canadian web site not on Amazon and direct. You can read about all the details on Wikipedia Blue & Me. I prefer my TomTom GPS on my cell phone because it gives up detours with traffic congestion ahead. There is still TomTom forums for community support at www.tomtomforums.com the serial number on the bottom of your unit on the TomTom will help you to know which unit you now own. TomTom manufactured many different models for cars and RV's. Some can be repaired, and many are discontinued. I am one of those people who refuse to give up trying and many times it works. I recall talking to customer service from TomTom and woman knew nothing about being able to change the battery. Many people give up.
