To sell or not to sell

Little Tuesday morning story for you to think about.

Currently own a Bravo 1.8HLX for the past 2 years or so, it was bought from auction out of necessity as some nice person decided to write off my old car. Anyway for the past year I've been saving to buy myself a new car. Problem is now that I have the money either I can't decide what I want or there's nothing I like, and I've looked at a lot of cars.

So question for you is. Keep the Bravo or buy something else? If so what to buy, budgets about 4-5K)

costs

how much has your bravo cost in maintaince and repairs

my 1.8HLX 98s has cost 2400 in 25months

reason i ask is that it can be used as a factor on wether to "leap" or stay put.

if it aint costing you much to keep going then i'd keep it, there aint no car similar to the bravo for 5k that looks as good as the bravo does.

if you are going to move to a different class of car then by all means theres lots of choice.

What class of car do you want. i.e. insurnace grps, mpg, size, 0-60 times, reliaibilty?

To be fair it hasn't cost that much. Bought it for 1600. Last years MOT and service was around 350 and this years MOT and service was 720 (72k service so timing belt).

It's got a few paint blemishes and marks, but all could be easily sorted.

Quite a variety. But your right there's nothing really like the bravo on the roads, its just looks good. A lot of the Japanese cars are great engineering but bland styling.

I was talking to a guy who is selling his fiat coupe and I asked him about maintenence and he reckoned you should budget for around £1000 per year!! I can put the link for the car up if you like, but I bet yours wouldnt cost that much to keep nice
