Technical Tipo oil pressure

Hello, just looking for a bit of advice. The Tipo I have is a 1.3 diesel but uses a bit of engine oil, but aways keep it topped up. The other day a warning light saying insufficient oil pressure came up. I drove her a few minutes and was OK. Would it be a case that the sensor is gone or acting up?

Hello. It's most likely an oil pump problem than a sensor one. Do take a read on the oil pressure.

What's the mileage on the engine?

I didn't take a reading yet. The milage is 138000km

Yeap, it's very possible an oil pump failure at that mileage if the pump is the original one and you didn't do anything to it so far. The fail itself is not serious, just pickup pipe/pickup gasket like in my post there, but the effect is low oil delivery. Do read the pressure.

No it starts ok.
