I’m sure you’ll let us know how it goes, I do like your van I love what you’ve done with it so at least it’s getting some tlc and not being scrapped (y)

I have had this van at four years old with only 27k and will keep it till the bitter end
I am on the lookout for a front end write off to make a box trailer and make the trailer look exactly like the van!

Once replaced will it still work with your tuning box? would you consider getting a map now? I think it's definitely worth getting the replacement engine when you've put so much into making Luigi yours.

Tuning box will work fine
I am thinking about the remap as the guy doing the engine swap has the software to do this
He said all these engines are detuned and not running to there optimum performance potential and a few tweaks can make all the difference and will not effect MPG or engine life

Any news on the 'new' engine and the remap/tuning box etc.? Different economy from the old one?

I feel like posting up the specialist fiat parts/breaker name that sold me the duff engine
The Engine i received was nothing like what he said
Hole in the inlet manifold
The metal pipe from egr valve had been cut
Seized alternator
low compression on all cylinders
Oil was like tar
Rear main bearing oil seal leaking
 
Any chance of a 'refund'......I guess not, most of the breakers sell on the 'buyer beware' base of no exchange/refund. Hope it all works out fine in the end.........Stay safe. Cheers Qube O.
