I too have had a real problem locating these clips, so instead, I VERY carefully drill through the post where the "C" clip would normally sit, and use as mall "R" clip---these never come out. You do have to be VERY careful in order that the thin drill-bit doesn't 'catch' when it exits the "C" clip's groove---do not put pressure on the drill. You might find it easier to do if the fan's 'top-cover' is removed to do this job, but once done, it won't have to to be repeated. Having described all that, "Ricambio", sell a small theottle-link kit (part number:--RIC-3701) which seems to include the "C" clip that you are looking for.

These clips are called E Clips and are readily available, an i/net search using this term will yield lots of suppliers usually selling them in selection boxes that include a variety of sizes.
I got a selection box of E clips from Lidl 'Specials Aisle' a couple of years ago for c. £4 but afaik they haven't had them since then.
However if you just need one clip, you might find a Motor Factors/ Garage that'll sell you just the one you need (from their selection box) if you know the size.
They are sized according to the diameter of the shaft groove into which they are to fit, e.g. if shaft diameter is 8mm and groove is 1mm deep, then groove diameter is 6mm, so a M6 or 6mm E Clip is needed.
Here's a typical selection box :-

Re:- the above E clips..

I was looking through some old tool catalogues (i.e. recalling the past when everything was much cheaper :) ) and in a 2020 edition of a (U.K.) Sealey Tools catalogue, I saw this tool for removing/refitting those E clips.
Note:- Idk if this tool is still available nowadays as the tool catalogue was from 2020 !
