General Thinking of getting a Panda on Scrappage

There's actually a white Panda active (58 plate S1 with black bumpers) in Barmouth and also an 09 plate (S2 colour bumpers) yellow one too if you want to compare colours, they're both 1.1 actives and pretty new and the owners seem to keep them clean! Think I've seen your 500 around, is it parked at a funny angle on a slight incline facing a wall/house?!

Thanks, so I know if its got a rev counter its an SII, having said that I'd settle for a SI with a discount! LOL :yum:

My Mrs. doesn't like white so I think it'll be 'Baby sick yellow!!' :yuck:
Just to give you an idea of what they look like.

White is a seriously good colour at the moment. If the wife doesn't like white I'd veto her and just get a white one :p When it comes time to sell white will be much easier to offload.

Personally I think its worth paying that little bit more and getting metallic paint.I went for metallic Crossover black because with New Orleans blue they were the only colours I liked.

Its a shame that the side bump strips and full sized spare options have gone from the Active Eco as they were a bargain.

I think the new Rock 'N Roll blue is a nice colour as well. Its not a metallic so its not as expensive. With it being a new colour it should be pretty rare as well.

One of the people on the 500 forum who's in the trade says they commonly refer to colours like Rock 'N Roll blue as doom colours because they don't sell very well 2nd hand. I'd stick with white for resale value.

I think thats certainly something to think about if you intend to sell it privately.Personally im trading mine back in with the dealers probably for a 100HP.I think a lot of the colour options on the Panda can be described as doom colours.Lairy purples, oranges and even beige will not suite everybody and might be harder to sell on.If you intend to sell on privately then simple colours like non metallic white could be more desireable.

The value you get as a trade in will vary with the colour as well.

Oh, I've just ordered mine today....I rock & roll blue!!

It was that or 'Baby sick yellow' :yuck:
I'm confused now cos Gary at Slaters told me R&R Blue is VERY dark, almost black but my wife remembers it as being a lighter blue, i'll go on Fiat.com & have a look now.

Its ordered, 12 weeks wait on it though.

Not sure which one Gary is but I probably dealt with him at some stage :)

R&R is quite dark, see below on a Grande Punto. If nothing you'll have an uncommon car as I've yet to see one in that colour :)

What sort of a deal did Slaters do you just out of curiosity? :)

Nice one mate,I really like that Rock 'N Roll blue you have picked a top colour.

Hi 306Maxi.

That Punto is in a different colour again! Follow this link then change the colour to R&R Blue in the menus.

Gary Hickson is quite young, round face, short dark hair, nice bloke.

The deal I got suits me. I got him to go 50/50 on the 3rd rear seat belt with me. The Cinc goes in as full deposit & the rest finaced with Black-Horse over 5 years. At the end the car will be paid for so I won't have a final payment to find. £107 a month.
The £89 a month deal ended in September, [its still on Lookers web site though!] The new Fiat deal is £105 over 4 years, so for an extra £2 a month + an extra years payments I thought it was worth it to not have to find that £1400 final payment.

Thanks, see my other posts for debate on what colour R&R Blue is!!

I'm happy with any of the blues to be honest :D

I wouldnt trust the Fiat sites configurator to show you how the colour will truly look when you get it.If that Punto is Rock 'N Roll blue then thats how it will look.

Yeah I'd echo that. The site is to be used as a rough guide only in terms of colour!

It looks like its the Very Dark Blue then!

I prefer it to the more purple blue shown on the web site. My wife prefers the web site colour so we'll wait & see.

I've e-mailed Gary to say I'm not going to reject the car if its not the same shade of blue he showed me!
