and they havnt informed me that the parts have arrived then thats bad isnt it still I wont be needing it soon now we have found some decent springs to fit the stilo at last :slayer:

That grille looks great!! Nice work. Don't like the lettering though. Why not go get a fiat badge and put it in the centre so the back and front will look like the 07 model?

thanks for the comments guys i think the silver of the grille goes quite nicely with the colour of my car, only bad point is it makes the other black bits look odd, maybe il consider aluminium mesh, although it is something i dont like, as i like everything to be OEM i just thought the facelift grille would inject a bit of freshness into the ol'girl.
now im debating the fiat badges bit, i thinking of waiting out untill i can get hold of the new style fiat badge, front and rear, plus point for the rear one it would match my red stilo lettering as its red

Huh?? The lettering isn't in the centre on the 07 model, it's where it was on the 04 Facelift (Stilo on the left, model derivitave on the right).
Ok I've seen the lettering for real now everyone, and it does look a million times better than in the picture, you really do have to see it to believe it. Stands out and in a good way and suits the car!
I still dont like it its not a new idea and I didnt like it when I saw it then :yuck: and the face lift grill is a bigger :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: IMO of course

IM BACK... nearly 3 weeks with no interweb access can kill you :bang:
so please, noone, and i mean NOONE even consider signing up with orange broadband. they are the worst company i have ever dealt with and one of those stupid companies who think uk customers are better off talking to someone in india rather than someone here just to put a few more bob into the companies pocket. well it didnt work, and they have lost a customer, and judgeing by the online reviews, theyve lost many more.

the bank doesnt like me anymore, lol, as iv treated my stilo to a cat-back stainless steel exhaust system from longlife, with the centre cat removed.
its not loud at all but has a subtle burble/rumle to it, and it has greatly affected the responsiveness and smoothness of the car. it has also improved the smoothness of the gearchange somehow, maybe its just me
i paid £329 for it and i also kept the removed cat should i have any mot problems in the future.
it was done at longlife cardiff, speak to lisa or alex, great guys, really friendly and helpful plus they have a fleet of stilos so they know what theyre doing with it

From what I saw when climbing under one of the stilo's that was parked in City road is the main reason I didnt go there
And I'm with Orange Broadband - took less than 2 minutes on the phone to upgrade my package, all is going to be done in 8-10 days, woo!!
