I would also add that the fact of brakes being very responsive is not bad at all.... it's just a matter of getting used to it and then you have very good brakes...:slayer:

Imagine if you had the opposite,......not responsive brakes.....this is a real problem...

LOL your right there the brakes on my first car (2000 mk2 Punto 1.2 8v) where absolutly crap and totally sucked on motorways.

when you leave the windows open, you can close them by the remote control key of the car. just press two times to lock button and keep pressing on the buttun.
when unlocking the car, press two times to unlock button and keep pressin on it, 4 windows are opened

Is this model specific or across the whole range?

I think it's model spesific. I have 5 door GP emotion which is the highest specification level in turkey. My 4 doors are electric controlled. that may be the reason. but i will ask my dealer about it.

Wierd, my Stilo used to do this, but when I asked the salesman he said my GP would NOT do it. Sure enough, I just went and stood outside in the rain to try it and it does NOT work on my GP....

sorry about that. might be because of 5 doors. i asked my friend using 3 door GP, his car di not do it either

I have a five door and the windows don't close with the remote so it is probably down to trim level. its a shame the longer i live with the GP the more i notice the corners that we cut
1. central locking only works with key on drivers door
2. if you open the pasenger door with the key the boot release on the dash doesn't work
3. one shot electic windows only on drivers side
4. why is the boot release button the furthest from the driver, try opening the door with the key leaning in and reaching the button with a bad back
5 had to pay for a locking fuel cap
6 keep finding various nut bolts and fastening in the foot wells that have fallen from somewhere
7 glove boxes for driving gloves only wooley mits wouldn't fit in it
8 no cubby in the boot to stop the can of de-icer rolling about and no cubby in the car big enough to hold it
9 map pocket only in the back of drivers seat not pasenger seat
10 paint that chips if yo look at it

Most countries drive on the right side of the road, button is closest to driver in these versions. (I do give that it is a bit cheap that they didn't switch the buttons for you on the left side of the road.)

Why is this i thought under MOT laws the fuel cap must be of the locking type - any MOT testers out there who can answer this.

my dealer said it is because it has a one way valve on the inlet. Ie you can push diesel into the tank but you cannot pull it back up out of it. He might have been telling me porkies but you never know

The electric windows dont have anti-squeeze mechanism, or if they do, mine dont work. Ask the poor coke bottle that was Mrs R's guinea pig....... Not too bad for me as I don't have kids, but if I did I think its a relatively important safety feature.

Also found that the lock and unlock buttons are the wrong way round on the key fob. By this I mean the unlock sticks out a bit further than the lock button, and hence is quite easy to inadvertantly press as you are stuffing said key into your pocket and walking away from the car. Luckily I heard it unlock the other day when it happened, but I have returned to an unlocked car and was sure I had locked it previously! If the buttons were the other way round or just all flush it would better!

The flap that covers the filler cap will be locked by the central locking system as it does on almost every other car on the market with central locking.

Yes, this alarmed me somewhat too!

Absolute NO locking part of the flap / petrol cap... I mean am not bothered about people stealing the petrol - MORE SHOVING THINGS IN IT OR BREAKING THE FLAP OFF! WHY OH F**KING WHY COULDN'T IT BE LOCKING!

mmm...ive had a paste experience when sombodys put water into the tank...:/ im sure you can get lockable fuelcaps to replace it....i sense a group-buy coming on

would have to go to dealer as i would like the same key as the ignition to fit the petrol cap. Anyone who has one is it the same key or not?
